Friday 20 October – Burgundy Wine Dinner (£69 per person for Gastro Card Holders)
A celebration of the finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Nigel Wilkinson is back and this time he’s bringing the Burgundy. Not just any Burgundy but the wonderful cuvees of Vallet Frères. Founded in 1864 by Pierre Bourée, Vallet Frères is now in the hands of the fourth generation of the family, Bernard and Jean-Christophe Vallet. The family own holdings in Gevrey-Chambertin, the entire monopole vineyard of Clos de la Justice, Premier Cru Beaune Epenottes and Grand Cru Charmes-Chambertin. Learn from Nigel about Bernard and Jean-Christophe’s award winning wine making and a little history from this wonderful winery, while enjoying a delicious four course dinner.
Friday 17 November – Port and Portuguese Dinner (£69 per person for Gastro Card Holders)
An opportunity to taste many different styles of port made in this world-famous port house – just in time for your Christmas shopping. Tom Selby-Edge from Liberty wines will talk us through the history of port production and how the different styles of port are made. The event will also be enhanced by the enjoyment of some wonderful Portuguese wines from Liberty’s most extensive collection, all perfectly matched to a sumptuous four course meal.
Friday 1 December – Christmas Wine Dinner (£59 per person for Gastro Card Holders)
This event, the first ever December wine dinner, promises to be a ‘cracker’. A Hotel du Vin festive menu served with the perfect Christmas wines. The night promises lots of seasonal touches to get you in the mood for the celebrations ahead. Expect Champagne and canapés on arrival, a four course festive banquet and each course expertly paired with wine by Tony & Nico.
