The Queens Belbroughton receives prestigious Michelin award

23rd September 2013

Worcestershire pub The Queens run by top Midlands chef Andy Waters, has been awarded a Bib Gourmand in the 2014 Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland.

Only 143 restaurants though out the UK hold a Bib Gourmand which is awarded to the inspectors’ favourite establishments, offering high-quality products and services and good value for the money. All Bib Gourmand restaurants are recognised for offering a 3-course meal for £28 or under. The Queens is the only Midlands venue and one of twenty-seven venues in total across the UK, to receive a new Bib Gourmand for 2014.

Congratulations to Andy and his team from all at Gastro Card – Well-deserved!

Andy Waters commented, “Being awarded a Bib Gourmand is a fantastic achievement for all The Queens team who put in so much hard work and dedication. At The Queens we aim to serve our customers great food that is value for money and we are so pleased that this has been recognised by Michelin”.

Andy moved to The Queens with his team in early 2012 to go into partnership with Black Country entrepreneurs Jim and Adam Driscoll. The 16th Century pub serves quality pub food and restaurant meals in the picturesque village of Belbroughton.

In October this year, Andy will return to Birmingham with the Driscolls to open new restaurant, Waters on the Square, located in Edgbaston. He will continue in his role of running The Queens.
