Torquil and Juree Chidwick, the award-winning husband and wife team behind the brand, already run two highly successful restaurants in Birmingham, opening their first in Moseley twelve years ago, soon followed by another in Harborne in 2011.

Torquil said it’s the right time ‘We’re really excited to be opening in Stratford-upon-Avon, the artistic heart of Warwickshire. The location for the restaurant couldn’t be more perfect. Our other restaurants are in the suburbs, but Wood Street is right in the centre of Stratford, just a stone’s throw from the Royal Shakespeare Company. The process of finding the right location, as well as developing the look and style we wanted inside the Grade-II listed building, took about 12months’.

Famed designers, Tibbatts Abel created the sumptuous, contemporary interiors for the new 90-cover restaurant. Adam Tibbatts and his team are highly-regarded for their work on Rofuto at Park Regis Hotel, and Saint Paul’s House in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.

Sabai Sabai has won countless awards for its tantalising food and luxurious surroundings, as well as the owners’ business expertise including:

  • Best Restaurant  – The Birmingham Awards November 2015
  • Young Entrepreneur Of The Year  (Juree Chidwick) – West Midlands Woman of The Year 2015
  • They also won Best Oriental Restaurant at the Birmingham Food Drink & Hospitality Awards.
