Gastro Card Director becomes Chair of Solihull Tourism Forum

Sally Bowen, Director of Gastro Card has been appointed as Chair of Solihull Tourism Forum.
The new role will see the director of hospitality marketing company, Gastro Card help to create and implement a marketing strategy to raise awareness of all that Solihull has to offer visitors.

She will be working alongside like-minded organisations such as Solihull Council, Solihull BID and local businesses to promote the area. Sally is also looking to launch a ‘produce and places’ map to promote Solihull as a hospitality and tourist attraction.

Sally’s experience of marketing, management and fine dining will be invaluable to the Solihull Tourism Forum as the plans to increase the visitor economy progress. Gastro Card, which offers exclusive dining savings, was created to protect restaurants during the economic downturn and to help them prosper. She is now turning her attention to support local businesses in Solihull.

The Solihull Tourism Forum, which has been established for 10 years, is made up of local and vested interest businesses. They meet to discuss plans and developments to raise the profile of Solihull. Sally will be taking over as chair from Jayne O’Malley, hotel director at Hampton Manor and Peel’s Restaurant.

Sally said: “As a local resident, I’m really passionate about the community in Solihull. My main goal as chair is to help local businesses thrive and to encourage visitors to explore everything Solihull has to offer”
