Gastro Card Chefs and Restaurants supporting National School Meals Week (#NSMW) 3-7th November

Gastro Card Partner Restaurants are supporting ‘School Chef Swap’  campaign for NSMW 3-7th November, headed by David Colcombe, Chef Director from Opus Restaurant.

David, a Brummie through and through, is Chef Director at Opus at Cornwall Street and CAFÉ OPUS AT IKON.

He and his two business partners opened Opus at Cornwall Street, a 2 AA rosette restaurant, in 2005 in the heart of the Colmore Business District. CAFÉ OPUS was opened in February 2013. Independent and market fresh, David’s modern British menus showcase the best that the British Isles have to offer. The quality of raw ingredients shine through dishes that are simple, yet bursting with flavour.  Representing an outstanding commitment to seasonality and freshness, David’s menu changes daily reflecting what he has bought from the markets every morning.


Chefs in schools will have an opportunity to transfer their skills into top restaurants, across the country to encourage children to eat freshly prepared and cooked school meals.
