Award-winning Warwickshire pub proves hit with the Travel Trade

The award-winning Granville @ Barford in Warwickshire is proving to be a big hit with the travel trade. The dining pub has seen a sharp increase in the number of group travel organisers and coach tour operators using the unique coaching inn as a convenient and much sought after eating venue whilst touring Shakespeare Country.  Located less than a mile from Junction 15 of the M40 on the A429, The Granville @ Barford is conveniently located between Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of the world’s greatest playwright and Warwick, home to England’s greatest medieval Castle.  The A429 is also one of the main roads with direct access into the picturesque Cotswolds.

As well as winning a number of highly coveted food & drink awards, the dining pub has received a number of top accolades from national newspapers, namely being voted number 1 by The Independent in their “50 Best Cheap Eats” and number 4 in the ‘Top 10 budget eats in Shakespeare Country’ in the Guardian.co.uk. The Granville can seat up to 60 customers in the private dining room, with a further 40 in the bar/lounge area and, during the summer months, a further 50 outside in the picturesque beer garden.  The Granville boasts a large car park suitable for coaches. Owned and run by Val Kersey, her team is committed to serving fresh home-cooked dishes using local seasonal produce, with the emphasis on relaxed dining, great service and value for money.

As well as offering a selection of home-cooked quality dishes from the extensive menu, The Granville also has a range of delicious doorstop sandwiches (add a glass of champagne for just £11.50). “On the Board” bar meals, which change regularly, are also available at just £7.95. Special offers are available for large groups and a complimentary meal is provided for the coach driver.   For coach tour companies on a tight schedule, menu requests can be pre-booked in advance.

‘Val Kersey, Proprietor of The Granville, stated “We are delighted that so many group travel organisers and coach tour operators are choosing to eat at The Granville whilst touring the area. Our location is perfect for those visiting the nearby towns of Stratford, Leamington Spa, Warwick and Kenilworth. With a fantastic range of home-cooked dishes served by friendly staff, touring companies can relax knowing their customers are in excellent hands.”
