Acorns Hospice

Established in 1988, Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust is a registered charity offering a network of care for life limited and life threatened children and young people, and their families, across the heart of England. These children and young people are not expected to reach adulthood and require specialist care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Acorns is currently supporting over 600 children and 865 families, including those who are bereaved.

Acorns is the only organisation that provides this level of care to these vulnerable youngsters whilst offering a range of support services to the whole family to help them cope at every stage of their child’s life and beyond into bereavement.

Acorns provides tailored nursing care for each child; short breaks, emergency and end of life care at each of our three hospices:

Leaps and Bounds Appeal for RSPCA

Rescuing more animals in Birmingham together

To continue to rescue more animals like Jess, we need your help to raise £3m to build a new Animal Hospital & Centre in Birmingham.

For 150 years the RSPCA has been active in the Birmingham area. The current animal centre and hospital in Barnes Hill was opened in 1962 and has been rescuing, treating and rehoming neglected animals ever since.

With increasing numbers of cruelty and neglect cases being reported to the RSPCA each year, demand for animal places in many of the RSPCA Animal Centres is massively outstripping supply. In the West Midlands the RSPCA is facing substantially increased pressure to deliver ever more places for dogs, cats and other animals.

Promise Dreams

Promise Dreams was launched in 2001 to raise money for children who are seriously or terminally ill and provide treatment, help and support for both them and their families.

Whether the child would like a holiday, a toy, medical treatment or equipment, or even the chance to meet their favourite celebrity, Promise Dreams is dedicated and committed to help.
