Promise Dreams

Founded in 2001 Promise Dreams raises funds to fulfil the dreams of children who have a terminal illness or who are suffering from a life limiting condition, meaning that it is unlikely that they will survive into adulthood.  A national charity that helps children across the country, with approximately one third of these coming from the Midlands.

At the core of our belief is the desire to help the entire family, at this tragic time and we have always said that there is no limit to a child’s imagination, so we consider every application received.

In today’s economic climate traditional requests of meeting celebrities or a family holiday are being superseded by a ‘need’ to make day to day living easier, for example laminate flooring to ease the push of a wheelchair. An electronic communication pad that enables a child who has complete awareness but has lost the ability to talk  to ask Mum for a drink, or a request for a downstairs wet room, as it is simply too distressing for all involved to take their child upstairs anymore. These requests are what we hear nearly everyday. Not dreams to the average person but practical things that make a real long term difference to our families.
