The Anchor Inn

When you walk into the Anchor Inn, the first thing that you will experience is the warm and friendly atmosphere that awaits you. And then you have some delightful food and fine real ales from local brewers such as Purity and Hook Norton to look forward to. 

The extensive Anchor menu offers everything that you could want from a relaxed and delicious meal. There is a wide choice of burgers and chips (The Great Dane, a 6oz. burger with melted blue cheese, is a real favourite), or there are mouth-watering steaks. You can opt for a fish dish (the lemon sole is a delight) or a on the lighter side choice of very tasty vegetarian dishes and salads.

And to complete the meal, the Anchor boasts a range of real ales, cared for meticulously, and an extensive, but very carefully selected wine list.

In the summer months you can enjoy the large garden (with a play area) with your family and friends. Or if you want to organize a party inside, then we have discrete areas that can be all yours. We‘ll even organize a buffet for that special occasion . And if you enjoy those big sporting events like the World Cup, the Grand National or Six Nations Rugby then we’ll be showing those too and, suddenly, that bar area becomes a sporting haven.
