Dorrington Old Hall Persian Cuisine

This is one of the most prestigious buildings in the village of Dorrington just south of Shrewsbury on the main link road (A49) to the midlands.  It is an elegant Black and White, timber framed, building that dates back to the 13th Century.

Nevertheless, inside it provides a contemporary atmosphere, with a present-day décor that is graceful and pleasing to the eye.  Food is prepared freshly in accordance with authentic Persian recipes, which is served by pleasant and courteous staff – an experience not to be missed.

The culinary traditions of Persians reach back to the time of the ancient Greeks, when Persia was the most powerful civilization in the world.  Through time, Persian cuisine has grown and influenced the culinary mores of the Middle East, Central Asia and India.

Persian cooking is renowned for its elaborate rice dishes, delicious kababs, nourishing soups and hearty stews.  Persians delicately flavour their food with herbs, spices and dried fruits.  A variety of naan-like breads supplement rice.  Pomegranates and dates provide a sweet finish to meals. Furthermore, there is a limited selection of North Indian Cuisine.
