The Althorp Coaching Inn

The food is noted throughout the area and the Irish chef, Paul Johnston, is gaining a high reputation amongst the foodies of the area. He has recently brought in his 2nd chef and friend, Dennis Holmes, who has added further excitement to our menu.

The Althorp is always looking for more and more local suppliers for fresh meat, fish, vegetables etc. including amongst our customers who may have an overspill at home of home-grown fruit and veg 

A listed stone and thatch Coaching Inn dating back to the 16th century, our historic hostelry specialises in quality British food, Real Ales and Fine Wines. 

 Situated in the picturesque village of Great Brington, why not pay us a visit and sample the traditional English hospitality surrounded by 16th century décor.  

With exposed oak beams throughout, original flagstone floors and roaring log fires the friendly staff are waiting to transport you back to the past.
