The Saracen’s Head

Appreciate good food? So do the judges in the Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards 2009 who voted us runners up in the Pub Restaurant of the Year category.

The Head chef and his team put together an exciting menu, creating some great dishes using quality produce (locally sourced where appropriate and when available). They do their best to wow the senses – sight, smell and taste.

Customers can choose from the à la carte menu (changed regularly) and enjoy a relaxed informal evening dining in the library or the gallery restaurant with pictures on display from local artists

The lunchtime menu offers a lighter selection of baguettes and light snacks and don’t forget the traditional Sunday roasts.

All of the menus include a variety of vegetarian dishes (v) – not just for vegetarians, and gluten free (gf) options are available for coeliacs. Please discuss when booking any other dietary requirements.

Both restaurant areas have seating for up to 24 people and are available for private dining. 

The pub is situated in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside 2 miles from Althorp House, the ancestral home of Diana, Princess of Wales.

Built in the 17th century from local Northamptonshire stone our bar boasts original beams and wooden floors – a traditional village inn with character and charm (and yes, that is a working red telephone box in the corner). The Saracen’s Head is a privately owned and run free house with a selection of well kept cask ales and lagers plus an extensive wine list.     end_of_the_skype_highlighting
