Corkers Seafood Restaurant
With superb views over the Poole Quay and Harbour our restaurant is air conditioned, with comfortable traditional, sophisticated décor. At Corkers service is efficient and friendly and the menu is wide ranging – the fish and shellfish are sourced locally. The menus change seasonally and fish choices change according to availability.
Corkers is an outstanding and first class venue, prominently situated in Poole’s’ “Old Town” at the junction of the High Street with the quay – literally a stone’s throw from the bustling Quayside! It is probably the longest established hostelry in Poole, part of the site was purchased by Louis Constandinos in 1944 at which time it was a sweet shop/tobacconist/cafe on a very commercial, working Quay.
Much has happened to both Poole Quay and to the old “Olympia Café” as it was then known.Corkers was created in 1979/80 into a 2 tier Dining venue. Informal Wine Bar Cafe Bar on the ground floor and Fine Dining Restaurant on the 1st floor.
At Corkers the emphasis has always been on excellent food in friendly, interesting & comfortable surroundings.
