The George Hotel Wins Best Value Rural Hotel Award by The Sunday Times

The George Hotel in Shipston-on-Stour has been voted independently as the Best Value Rural Hotel in the UK, in the Sunday Times’ worldwide annual Value for Money awards.

Here at the Gastro Card we would like to offer our congratulations to Ian Fergusson and his team at The George Hotel on this fantastic achievement, these are highly prestigious awards and they beat off stiff competition from the likes of the Handpicked Hotels collection and Fishmore Hall in Ludlow.

The award, which was announced in the Sunday Times travel magazine, praised the hotel’s “funked-up but friendly”design, “yummy” restaurant and value for money in “such a pricey patch” around the Cotswolds.
