StageSide Bar & Restaurant

Theatre goers and ‘foodies’ alike congregate at this warm and buzzy restaurant for pre-theatre meals and post-show drinks and critiques. Located opposite the Hippodrome’s stage door on Thorp Street, this warm and informal brasserie style restaurant – with burgundy walls, and black leather chairs – is often frequented by cast members and musicians after the show.

The menu at StageSide changes frequently, and sample dishes include Wild mushroom risotto, Tart of red onion & Goats cheese, herb salad, red wine dressing ; Thai Laksa, Pot roast pork, mash potato and apple salsa; our most popular dish – Soda battered haddock fillet with hand cut chips, mushy peas, tartar sauce and amongst others, two fabulous desserts, Crème Brulee and Dark Chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream,

Wherever possible StageSide sources its seasonal produce from local suppliers through a partnership with Heart of England Fine Foods (HEFF).

StageSide stays open late on Fridays and Saturdays, with food orders up to 11pm. The bar is perfect if you’re looking for a warm and friendly atmosphere, with good wines and beers.
