And it was this ethos which wowed the judges at the Football Hospitality Awards where Aston Villa were the big winners at the 2009 ceremony taking home the prestigious Matchday Hospitality Experience award. The judges travel to the top clubs around Britain to sample their service – and they singled Villa out for special praise. One judge said: ‘I have dined at The Ivy, Oxo Tower Restaurant and The Savoy, and Aston Villa have genuinely excelled those experiences – amazing!’

Of course, it’s all down to the people – and the 1874 Restaurant has a team to be proud of. Like super-starlet Kevin Annett, who was named top young chef in the Midlands.

The setting is pretty special too after the Trinity Road Stand suites and lounges had a multi-million pound refurbishment – and it’s laid down the blueprint for a new way of doing hospitality and events.

The 1874 Restaurant is a new and unique matchday restaurant located in the Trinity Road Stand – the restaurant offers single match hospitality for Premier league, European and Domestic Cup fixtures taking place at Villa Park. The suite offers unique full suite length views of the stadium and also Aston parklands.
